FAQ Keyword Body Fluid
How do I remove Human body fluid smell?
Human body fluid smell.
Odor kill will do the job for this situation. It is continually used for this purpose by a number of companies. One of our customers, Atlanta Crime Scene Service, purchases Odor Kill by the gallon and uses it constantly. In fact, he has recently given us a testimonial, which will be posted on our web site soon.
It will take a little work to treat the RV.
I'll explain the concept and some directions for your application below: ATX’s Odor Kill & Stain Remover works on the Pac-Man Concept The key is to get the Odor Kill solution in direct contact with the organic odor & stain molecules. The Odor kill solution of multiple enzyme systems and molecules functions just like little "pacmen," which very aggressively attack and digest the organic matter molecules.
The Odor Kill enzyme/molecules must come in contact with the organic matter molecules in order to digest them. They work in the presence of food (organic matter), oxygen and water. When the area dries, the enzymes cease functioning and cannot be regenerated with water. Once the enzymes are stimulated by the addition of oxygen and nutrients, the enzyme population grows, using the contaminated compounds as the food source. This process breaks down the contaminates into carbon dioxide and water.
Once the contaminates are depleted, or the area dries, the enzymes are deprived of their food source, and either die or are reduced to inconsequential numbers. O Just follow the directions, which are included with each shipment. We also include detailed directions on our web site, see below. ****************************
The key is that the mixed solution must come in contact with the body fluids in order for it to digest them If there is residual fluids that could not be reached by Odor Kill, it will not be digested and removed.
So, it will be important to get the solution as deep as possible into and under all effected surfaces.
Mix it 10 parts water and 1 part odor kill in a clean spray bottle. (Don't use it in the concentrate form, it works faster mixed with water since the enzymes "wake up and go on the attack.")
Generously spray the floor, carpet, top, sides, bottom, and interior. The enzyme solution is working when it has moisture. It stops working when it dries. I assume the carpet has been removed.
You may also wish to use a low-pressure washer to force the mixed solution into the wood.
Don't use a high-pressure washer, as it will damage the wood. Possibly, the additional water will damage the wood and cause it to buckle.
You'll have to use your good judgment on that. Keep the problem area moist by covering it with a damp towel that has been saturated with the mixed odor kill solution.
Keep it on the area for 4-6 hours in order to penetrate the wood surface.
Let it dry and reapply if necessary.
You may also need to spray the mixed solution on all surfaces of the RV, since the mal odor molecules have migrated and attached themselves to all surfaces, walls, floors, carpets, drapes, cabinets, etc.
How much to use? Depending on the size of your trailer. I would start with 2 quarts and perhaps you should get a gallon.
