How do I remove Mildew on Camper Canvas?
Mildew on Camper Canvas
Odor Kill will do the job for you. It will not destroy the canvas or the stitching. It loves to digest mildew.
We have directions on our site and we include them with your shipment.
Here are some helpful hints: ATX’s Odor Kill & Stain Remover works on the
Pac-man Concept. The key is to get the Odor Kill solution in
direct contact with the organic odor & stain molecules. The Odor
kill solution of multiple enzyme systems and molecules functions
just like little "pac-men", which very aggressively attack and
digest the organic matter molecules. The Odor Kill enzyme/molecules
must come in contact with the organic matter molecules in order to
digest them. They work in the presence of food (organic matter),
oxygen and water. When the area dries, the enzymes cease functioning
and cannot be regenerated with water.
The key is that the mixed solution must come in contact with the mildew so it can digest the organic mildew and mold. If there is residual mildew that could not be reached by Odor Kill, it will not be digested and removed. So, it will be important to get the solution as deep as possible on all surfaces.
Mix it 20 parts water and 1 part odor kill in a clean spray bottle. Generously spray it on all water safe surfaces, especially in areas where mold and mildew smell the strongest.
You may wish to rub it in with your hands on canvas, fabrics, drapes, rugs, etc., and let dry slowly.
The enzyme solution is working when it has moisture. It stops working when it dries. It will not leave a residual odor. Let it dry and repeat if necessary the same day. In your situation,
ATX’s Odor Kill & stain remover will definitely help reduce and eliminate the mold and mildew smell /odors for a period of time (days) depending on how much continuous humidity is in the area.
Some strains of mildew are very, very difficult to totally eliminate. If you can eliminate the moisture the mold and mildew will die.
Open up the camper and let it dry out in the sun after the Odor kill treatment.
Retreat as necessary.
If you would like, I'll be glad to speak with you to discuss this further. Just advise the best time to call and your phone #.
How do you remove smoke odors in a camper?
Smoke Odors in a Camper.
It is an excellent odor remover. If the Odor Kill solution is able to get to the smoke / organic molecules it will digest them and remove them from the base materials-carpets, wall, upholstery, etc.
It is not a masking agent.
Mix the concentrate in a clean spray bottle or garden sprayer -- it must be clean, suggest that you go to the local hardware store and secure one of each.
Heavily mist all surfaces. You want the solution to reach all smoke molecules.
If the Odor kill enzymes don't come in contact with the smoke molecules they cannot digest them. 3.
Start with a 15 to 1 mixture that should do it.
Always mix it with water, it acts as a catalyst and activates the enzymes so that they "go on the attack".

We have some drawings about how to apply.
