How do I remove Mildew mold on a nightstand—furniture?
Mildew mold on a nightstand—furniture.
The key is that the mixed solution must come in contact with the mildew in order to digest it. If there is residual mildew that could not be reached by Odor Kill, it will not be digested and removed.
So, it will be important to get the solution as deep as possible For the wood, wash down the walls and wipe out the drawers with a cloth with ATX ODOR KILL solution.
Again, using the ol' fan trick, leave the drawers open, turn on a fan and mist ATX ODOR KILL in front of the fan. Let it penetrate into the room. Repeat in about an hour. Repeat the next day.
May have to treat it daily like that for a while and then a couple times a month. They need to be aware that wet wood will have a smell of its own. ********
Wash down the furniture, walls, and all exposed surfaces and wipe out the furniture drawers with a cloth with ATX ODOR KILL solution (10 parts water 1 part Odorkill.) Leave the drawers open, turn on a fan and mist ATX ODOR KILL in front of the fan.

You need to be aware that wet wood will have a smell of its own. Odor Kill can be sprayed in a large room and it loves smoke/household odors. It must only be sprayed on all water safe surfaces.
The key is to get the Odor Kill solution in contact with the smoke/ household odor molecules. Odor kill acts like little "pacmen" which attack and digest the organic matter.
They work in the presence of food -- urine, wood, etc. (all organic matter), oxygen and water.
When the area dries the enzymes can not be regenerated and it must be re applied.
