How do I remove Freezer // power failure// meat odors?

Freezer // power failure// meat odors.

Thanks for your email. Yes, Odor Kill will remove the organic (meat) odors from the freezer.

Mix 1 part warm water and 5 parts Odor Kill, wash the interior cavity and then saturate the interior freezer area.

Close the freezer and let the odor kill work for 2-3 hours. Then check the area for odor. If it is still present, then retreat. It may take a few treatments. Then let it dry.

Check it again. Repeat until the odor has been completely digested by the Odor Kill solution.

The more contamination in the freezer area, the more it will require Odor Kill enzymes to digest the meat odors.

They can only work so fast. The key is to get the Odor Kill solution in contact with the organic / meat odors. Odor kill acts like little "pacmen" which attack and digest the organic matter.

They work in the presence of food, organic matter- meats household foods, and water. When the area dries the enzymes die and stop working.

How do I remove Garbage Odors in Refrigerator?

Garbage Odors in Refrigerator.

I have to suspect that the mal odor molecules have permeated the insulation and air handling system. It is worth a try to clean it with odor kill before you give up.

Repeat until the odor has been completely digested by the Odor Kill solution. Turn back the thermostat so that the cooling stops. Run the refrigerator with odor kill applied to the walls and put some on the bottom of the cavity.

The idea is to get odor kill into the air handling system since the mal odor molecules have attached themselves to it and they are being re-circulated.

How do I remove Trailer with Mal odors?

Trailer with Mal odors:

Re: the trailer, I do have some thoughts on that. I don't know about drilling holes, though.

A couple of factors come to mind:

1- how long it will take will depend on how bad the odor and stains are

2- how long have they been there? (heat in the trailer may have transformed them partially into inorganic)

3-breaking the surface tensions on the wood so the ATX ODOR KILL can penetrate.

4- Spraying the other areas of the trailer where the odors have permeated.

5- the gentleman needs to get started right away if it is to be ready for this weekend.

 What I would do:

1- I would mop up the floor with just water, preferably warm.

2- Prepare a 10 parts water to 1 part solution of ATX ODOR KILL in a clean bucket (container) (not one that has had chemicals in it previously). Then add a few (about 5 - 10 drops) of dishwashing liquid (this mild soap should help break the surface tension). Apply this solution onto the floor with the mop.

3- Dip some clean towels or sheets into the mixture prepared in #2 and place them on floor area. Let sit an hour.

4- Open the windows and door of the trailer to have better oxygen.

5. - Remove the towels. The wet wood will have a smell of its own and there could be off gassing from the malodors.

 6. Mop up the entire area with just water, preferably warm.

7.        Probably will have to repeat the entire process. Start spraying (10 to 1) solution on all areas of the trailer.

Wipe down walls and ceiling, spray the bed, mattress, pour some in the sink, in the toilet, trash bins, etc.
