How do I remove Cat Urine in Mattress / Sofas?

Cat Urine in Mattress / Sofas

Yes, it loves cat urine, but it will take some work. ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover must get to the source of the problem area in order to digest the "problem causes".

The key is that the mixed solution must come in contact with the urine in order for it to digest the urine. If there is residual urine that could not be reached by Odor Kill, it will not be digested and removed.

So, it will be important to get the solution as deep as possible into the fabric and the urethane foam. Mix it 10 parts water and 1 part odor kill in a clean spray bottle.

Generously spray the mattress, top, sides, bottom, and interior. The enzyme solution is working when it has moisture. It stops working when it dries.

Another alternative treatment method: You need to rent a steam cleaner (that injects water under pressure and then sucks it back up). You should mix 10 oz to 15 oz. of ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover to 1 gallon of warm water in the steam cleaner (this gives about a 1 to 10 ratio of product to water).

Then clean both sides of the mattress with the steam cleaner. If it is possible to get inside the mattress, then clean that also. Let the area alone for a couple of hours and then repeat the process. If ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover gets to the source of the problem, then this treatment will solved it.

Just as a friendly suggestion, since you will have already rented the steam cleaner, you could clean other carpets in your home with ATX’s Odor-Kill and Stain Remover by using 2 oz. to 1 gallon of warm water (a 1 to 64 ratio).

After drying, vacuum, and check for urine smell. Re apply if necessary. We also have directions on our site, which you can refer to. Yes, we offer a money back guarantee for all situations and applications. See the guarantee below.

How do I remove Smoke Odors in Wood Furniture/ chairs Sofas?

Smoke Odors in Wood Furniture/ chairs Sofas

Odor Kill should do the job for you. It loves to digest smoke odors. It is safe to apply on any water safe surface.

The key is that the mixed solution must come in contact with the smoke odors in order for it to digest them. If there is residual smoke that could not be reached by Odor Kill, it will not be digested and removed. So, it will be important to get the solution as deep as possible into the furniture.

Since this is water based, be sure water will not damage the surface. Odor kill does not include any strong chemicals and it has a neutral pH of 7.0. It does include some mild soap.

I suggest that you will have to spray a light to medium mist on the furniture, let it stay on it for 2-5 minutes, rub it off and check it. Reapply as necessary.

Use your nose to tell if it has been removed. The smoke molecules usually do not permeate very deeply into the wood. Mix it 20 parts water and 1 part odor kill in a clean

spray bottle. The enzyme solution is working when it has moisture. It stops working when it dries. After drying check for smoke odors. Reapply if necessary.

We also have directions on our site, which you can refer to.

How do I save my sofa?

I purchased your product week before last as a last ditch effort to salvage the $2000 sofa which my cat had ruined with urine. I must be honest, I fully expected to be disappointed.

I am sure you are not surprised to learn that there is no trace of feline urine odor on my sofa. this is a sofa which I have been treating for two years (he has a chronic urinary tract infection problem).

I NEVER got the smell to completely disappear. you may be familiar with a product called nature's miracle. it was the best the local pet smart had to offer. well, ATX’s odor kill took care of what nature's miracle could not.

I'm sold and want to tell others! if it can save my sofa, imagine what it can do for the men's restaurant at a fast food restaurant (now that stinks)! I'm looking forward to hearing from you. --Kay Thompson
